Surf’s 2010 & 2009 ECNL Boys at MIC CUP 2023

Both our 2009 and 2010 ECNL boys teams competed in the prestigious MIC CUP tournament in Spain this April. This was an incredible opportunity for these teams to test themselves against competition from across the world. To highlight the experience, the 2010 team played Italian giants Juventus in group play, while the 2009 team played La Liga side RCD Espanyol, which boasts one of the strongest youth academies in the world. Both groups showed well throughout the tournament, taking away tons of experience.

Head Coach Steve Hill said, “To play in one of, if not the top youth tournament in the world, was a great experience for both of these teams. It was great to have the boys experience the different cultures of soccer from across the world while testing themselves against some of the best youth teams in the world.”
