Four San Diego Surf Players Invited to the NWSL Coachella Valley Invitational to Compete with the San Diego Wave
San Diego Surf Soccer Club is proud to announce that four players from the Girls 2009 ECNL team were invited to participate in the NWSL Coachella Valley Invitational held on February 21-22, 2026. Brooke Volpp, Lolly Mirhashemi, Addison Dean, and Kayleigh Cabigon were selected to train and compete alongside the San Diego Wave FC.
San Diego Surf is the only youth soccer club in the Nation to have four players invited to the NWSL Coachella Valley Invitational, and playing with the San Diego Wave was an incredible opportunity for our girls. We currently have two San Diego Surf alumni signed with the San Diego Wave, Nya Harrison and Melanie Barcenas.
This experience offered our players an insider look into the professional environment, reinforcing San Diego Surf’s mission to provide our players with the Best of the Best experiences and opportunities.
